Protect the surroundings
Before you start, make sure to protect your surroundings by covering or removing any nearby furniture. Apply masking tape on the skirting board and protect the floor with some plastic.
Prepare the surface
Before applying the product make sure the surface is dry, clean, evenly absorbent and smooth. Then measure the dimensions of the area you’re going to paper and mark where your first wallpaper sheet will hang. Use a level to mark a vertical line to make sure it’s straight.
Prepare the product
Add the special wallpaper paste (e.g. Solvite All Purpose Wallpaper Adhesive) to a clean bucket filled with 4 litres of water and stir for 15 seconds. Let it rest for 2-3 minutes and then stir again. Let it rest.
Cut the wallpaper
With your scissors, cut the length of wallpaper according to the measured room height, adding an extra 10 to 15 cm in length.
Apply the product
Stir the special wallpaper paste once again after 15 minutes and it’s ready to use! Apply the special wallpaper paste to the back of the paper using a brush.
Fold the wallpaper
Fold the wallpaper two-thirds from the top and one-third from the bottom. Then fold the rest of the wallpaper and let it soften for a couple of minutes.
Hang the wallpaper
Align the wallpaper with the vertical mark you’ve made on the wall for the first sheet. Make sure the wallpaper overlaps onto the ceiling. To remove bubbles and wrinkles, apply the pressing roller along the wallpaper.
Cut the wallpaper ends
Use a spatula to push the upper end of the wallpaper into position. Once the strip is perfectly aligned, trim the top exactly at the connection between the wall and the ceiling with a cutter knife. Repeat the process on the lower end of the wallpaper.
Repeat the process
Align the second sheet of wallpaper with the pattern of the previous sheet. Make sure it is perfectly aligned, with no gaps, and don’t put too much pressure on it. Repeat the process for the rest of the wall.
Let it dry for 24 hours and it’s done! Now you know how to hang a fabric wallpaper in your room and it suddenly looks much cosier. Add a stylish wall shelf to your wall for an extra decoration touch!
