WHAT YOU NEED
Corner clamps, Sandpaper, A pencil, Scissors, A cloth, Jigsaw, Tape measure
Measure and mark the window
Measure the dimensions of your window frame with a tape measure. Mark the measures on the wood to be cut.
Cut the wood strips
Cut the wood with the dimensions you’ve got in the previous step. On the corners of each strip, make cuts with 45º.
Sand and clean the surface
Sand the surfaces you cut and clean with a cloth all the surfaces to be glued.
Glue the wooden strips
Apply construction adhesive (e.g. UniBond No More Nails) in a linear way on the strip faces you’ve cut with a 45º. With corner clamps, make pressure on the adhesion. Repeat the action with the other clamps on the remaining 3 corners of your frame. Let it dry for 24h.
Glue the mosquito net to the wooden strips
Apply the mounting tape (e.g. UniBond No More Nails On a Roll) along the wooden strips. Then place the mosquito net on top of the tape, pressing gently to glue it well.
Clean the surface
To assure a better adhesion, clean with a cloth the window surfaces where you will glue the frame with the mosquito web
Glue the mosquito net to the window
Cut the mounting tape in small pieces (8 cm long) and add 3 pieces to each side of the outer frame: At the center, top and bottom of each side. Then glue the window frame with the mosquito web on it, pressing firmly for 10 seconds.
Let it dry for 24h and it’s done! Your mosquito net will protect you for unwanted flies and mosquitos and make your life much more relaxed! Now that you have learned how to install a mosquito net, make sure to seal your window.
